Six shares instead of one certificate.
WHAT WE ARE BUILDING
We are not a land registry and have no intention of pretending to be one. The title stays exactly where it is. Our part is a record of which heir holds which portion, agreed among the heirs themselves.
The certificate does not change. What changes is that the entitlement underneath it exists as six things instead of one.
- Share 1Heir 1held
- Share 2Heir 2held
- Share 3Heir 1moved
- Share 4Heir 4pledged
- Share 5Heirs of 5split
- Share 6Heir 6held
- Unchanged since the split
- Sold to another heir
- Used as security
- Subdivided on a death
Three of the six have moved since the arrangement was recorded. The plot has not been touched, and none of the other heirs had to attend anything.
- 01
The heirs agree the split
Once, at the start, while everyone is reachable. Six portions against one plot, recorded as six separate things rather than one shared paragraph.
- 02
A share exists on its own
It belongs to one heir. It can be held, transferred, or pledged as a distinct object rather than as a fraction described inside a joint document.
- 03
One heir deals alone
Selling a portion to a sibling takes the two of them. The other four are not required to attend, sign, or be told.
- 04
The aggregate stays visible
Every heir can see that six shares are outstanding and who holds how many. That much has to be shared or the record is useless.
None of this changes the certificate. What it changes is whether one sibling can exit without four others taking a day off work.
